PREP FOR THE VET (ETC)
Please ensure your dog is appropriate in a group class setting before making a reservation. No refunds, substitutions, or make-up lessons offered. Feel free to have a friend or family member join if you can't make it!
This 4 week class focuses on handling, restraint, and acclimation protocols to help your pup at the vets, groomers, or while undergoing other husbandry duties. As part of this class we will introduce you to:

Limb Restraint

Whole Body Restraint
-
Desensitization to Dremel/Clipper/Ear Drops/Eye Drops

Accepting Examination (listening to heart and lungs, looking at eyes and ears)

Accepting vaccinations
-
Desensitization to grooming equipment: brush, comb, flea comb, etc

Muzzle desensitization
-
Consensual interactions ... when to push forward and through the exercise and when to let up and take a step back

Generalizing skills and proofing under conditions (run throughs utilizing scale, grooming table, etc)
Requirements:

Dogs must be current on Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella, and Rabies Vaccines!

NOT suitable for dogs who are overly fearful, anxious, aggressive, or reactive towards other dogs .. dog's with handling sensitivities but lack of general reactivity welcome.
