SOUND LIBRARY

Acclimating a dog with a sound phobia involves gradually exposing them to the noises that trigger their anxiety in a controlled and positive way.

This can be done by playing recordings of the sounds at a low volume and gradually increasing it as the dog becomes more comfortable. Positive approaches, such as rehearsing training routines, engaging in play, providing food dispensing toys or puzzle, or can all help the dog associate the sounds with good experiences.

In extreme cases where the phobia is severe and impacting the dog's quality of life,  pharmaceuticals may be considered to help manage their anxiety.

Sound acclimation is not just for scaredy cats! Routinely exposing your pup is critical for: service dogs, therapy dogs, performance sports, puppy imprinting and socialization, travel, and so much more!
