K9ology is seeking a part-time assistant to join our Shenandoah Valley operation!
ABOUT US
K9ology is a small dog training and pet service company situated on a 5-acre farm in Churchville, Virginia. Our mission is to provide exceptional training and care for dogs and their owners.
ABOUT THE JOB
The role of the assistant will involve helping with various tasks and duties on an as-needed basis. The weekly commitment is approximately 4-6 hours, with the potential for expansion. Occasional weekends may be required.
The starting pay is $15 an hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement. Comprehensive job training will be provided, and prior experience is not necessary. The position offers a platform for professional development and growth for promising candidates.
Responsibilities will vary depending on the specific needs of the organization and may include:

Farm chores: Assisting with feeding, watering, and moving livestock

Client pet care: Walking, playing, feeding, and assisting in training activities, cleaning, and maintaining kennel buildings

Personal kennel: Helping with whelping, feeding, and rearing of puppies, assisting in puppy socialization protocols, feeding, watering, or relieving household dogs, assisting with training, conditioning, or grooming

Administrative tasks: Drafting newsletters, flyers, social media posts, client handouts, and other materials. Helping with photos, videos, and other productions. Participating in community events and vendor booths

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

This job includes working hands-on with a variety of dogs including all breeds, ages, and sizes.

A large portion of this position requires employee to work confidently solo once appropriately trained in handling and protocols.
