DOG SHOW PREP
K9ology is excited to support owners in an incredibly diverse array of breeds, ages, and experience levels! Whether you are new to showing dogs, have an inexperienced pup, need help problem solving areas, or are looking to improve your pup's performance in the ring - we've got you covered!
In addition to being a Certified Trainer and Behaviorist, Charlotte is also the breeder/owner/handler of multi titled Champion Border Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers! She is actively working towards her requirements to become an AKC judge herself!
This 4 week class covers everything you and your dog need to know in preparation for showing in the AKC or UKC breed conformation ring!
As part of the course we cover:

Teaching your dog to Stand and Stay

Teaching your dog to move their front and back feet for alignment

Accepting the teeth to be shown

Accepting judges examination

Free Stacking vs Hand Stacking

Gaiting Your Dog

Understanding structure: looking for angles and patterns

Understanding type: training your critical eye
Requirements: Dogs must be eligible to show in AKC / UKC dog shows and be in good health and condition. Distemper, Bordatella, and Rabies vaccine required for dogs 6 months and older.
